Conference on Building a gender just society

Van 17 tot 18 november 2014 | Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung EU Office - Rue du Taciturne 38 Brussels

Invitation to international experts’ conference on
Building a gender just society

A common European agenda for gender equality

We are very pleased to invite you on behalf of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung to our conference “Building a gender just society - A common European agenda for gender equality” on 17 and 18 November 2014 in Brussels.

The experts’ conference is designed to facilitate an international dialogue on feminist economics and gender equality policies in Europe between representatives of academia, civil society and politics. There is an urgent need for this debate – especially in times of financial crisis and rising influence of anti-feministic movements in Europe.

How to achieve more gender equal, inclusive and sustainable societies? With this experts’ meeting the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung wants to provide a platform to discuss this pressing question and to rethink traditional growth models and develop innovative approaches and visions for a new macroeconomic framework for Europe.

In thematic workshops we will have a closer look at key areas as “Care Economy”, “Digital Economy and Society”, “Gender and Migration” as well as at “Gender equality as an engine to modernization”.

Please find the draft programme here.

We would be very happy to welcome you on 17 November 2014 at 12h00 at our EU Office (Rue du Taciturne 38).

Please register until 13 November 2014 here.
