Cet échange prendra place dans le cadre traditionnel de la présentation des priorités et du programme à venir de la Présidence européenne assurée par la Belgique depuis ce 1er juillet 2010. Parmi ces priorités, une attention particulière devra être accordée aux droits des femmes et à l’égalité des chances, au travers de la lutte contre la violence envers les femmes, et l’écart des salaires entre les femmes et les hommes. Les discriminations liées au sexe sur le marché de l’emploi seront aussi prises en compte comme une problématique prioritaire pour les politiques de l’emploi.

- Exchange of views with José Mendes Bota, Chairman of the the Committee on Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, Parliamentary Assembly of the council of Europe
- The future for social services of general interest- consideration of draft opinion
- Exchange of views with Minister Joëlle Milquet, Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Employmentand Equal Opportunities , Belgian Presidency
- Exchange of views with Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the Commission and Commissionner for Justice, Fundamental Rights, and Citizenship on the future strategy for gender equality (2010-2015)
- Parliament’s positions on the 2011 Draft Budget as modified by the Council - Section III- Commission- consideration of budget amendments tabled by the draftsperson
- The impact of advertising on consumer behaviour - consideration of draft opinion
The Committee will vote on - The role of women in an ageing society - consideration of amendments and adoption of draft report
- The Demographic Challenge and Solidarity between generations - consideration of amendments and adoption of draft report
