SUMMARY:Addressing Discrimination Against Mothers with Disabilities (Make Mothers Matter)
DESCRIPTION:Despite progress in disability rights\, persons with disabilities in Europe continue to face social prejudice\, inaccessible infrastructure\,\nand unsupportive attitudes. Mothers with disabilities remain among the most underrepresented and marginalised groups in\npolicymaking\, research\, and healthcare practice. The United Nations has recently recognised maternity as a ground for\ndiscrimination; as a result\, mothers with disabilities experience double discrimination. \nThe project ASSIST – heAlthcare incluSion of motherS wIth diSabiliTy\, cofinanced by the European Union and led by Make Mothers\nMatter \, in cooperation with several European partner organisations\, aims to enhance the quality and accessibility of maternal\nhealthcare services for mothers with disabilities. \n\nThursday 12th February 2026\, 3pm\nAmazone asbl\, Rue du Méridien 10\, 1210 Bruxelles\nEN\, FR\, NL\nSubscriptions: eudelegation@makemothersmatter.org.
