The Erasmus + project « Fair Play at Schools » is a three-year long strategic partnership project (01/09/2019 – 31/08/2022) supporting an innovative approach to gender-sensitive education. Norwegian, Estonian and Czech gender equality experts from three NGOs participate in the project, namely from KUN Centre for Equality and Diversity (Norway), Estonian Women’s Associations Roundtable (Estonia) and Gender Information Centre NORA (Czech Republic).
The project aims at enhancing teachers’ sensitivity to gender issues. In this way, it contributes to more inclusive classroom environments where children can develop their competencies in a safe and welcoming atmosphere without the pressure of restrictive gender stereotypes. Within the planned event concrete examples of methods and practices applied by gender-sensitive pedagogy are to be presented from a European perspective given by gender experts and teachers from 4 European countries: Belgium, Norway, Estonia and the Czech Republic. The hands-on experience is to be shared with educational practitioners, teacher trainers and employees of organisations working in the field of gender equality and education.
The event will be in English. The event is free of charge, but places are limited. Please register here. We kindly ask you to let us know beforehand if you cannot participate after registration.
