Mission and values
Amazone is an organisation dedicated to women* and the associations that support their struggles. Our organisation closely follows the feminist movement in Belgium and helps to create social, cultural and professional links to promote gender equality. We also have a social restaurant and a conference centre. Amazone also has an information centre and initiates a variety of projects and events.
Amazone promotes an intersectional feminism, which takes into account the many forms of discrimination (in addition to sexism) suffered by victims of gender discrimination.
Women*: we refer to anyone who recognises themselves under this name and maintain that everyone is free to define their own gender identity.
