Campaign: A Home for Equality

30 years ago, a seed was planted.
In the heart of Brussels, in an unassuming yet vibrant house, different voices came together. Voices of women, of gender minorities, of allies. Voices that were too often forgotten, ignored, or taken away.

That house became the Amazone House.

Today, more than ever, it remains the place where the struggle takes root.

Amazone is:

  • A bilingual, inclusive, and intersectional meeting place

  • A workplace for 40 feminist associations

  • A unique resource center with more than 10,000 feminist sources

  • A restaurant for social and professional integration

  • A conference center that organizes various events to think, dream, and fight together

Every day, feminists find in our house a space to grow and share experiences.
Every day, associations come together here to build a better future, where everyone is equal.
Every day, stories are written within these walls.

Why this campaign?

Today, Amazone needs your support.

It has existed for 30 years thanks to institutional funding, but that is no longer enough.
To remain accessible and to continue welcoming you, we need your help.

With your support, we can:

  • Offer safe, functional, and open spaces for associations

  • Support feminist struggles through culture, education, and collective action

  • Organize events, training sessions, and days of reflection

  • Further develop our cultural and awareness-raising projects

  • Expand our feminist resource center

We are launching the campaign “A Home for Equality” to collect donations and ensure the sustainability of this unique house.
Every donation is a promise not to give up this struggle without a voice or a place.

Why donate?

Because equality does not grow on its own.
Because Amazone is a collective space.
A house that must be defended.
Because behind every euro lies a struggle and the associations that fight it on the ground.

Make a donation.
Share our campaign.
Spread the word.
Together, we move closer to justice.
Together, we make Amazone a home for equality.

The ambassadors: cultural voices representing our commitment

To mark Amazone’s 30th anniversary, we are fortunate to be supported by 10 powerful ambassadors from the cultural, artistic, and activist worlds:
Stéphanie Blanchoud, Lou K, Karin Clercq, Fanny Gillard, Salomé Dewaels, Catherine Graindorge, Laurence Vielle, Dena Divah, Mara Taquin, and Rokia Bamba.

They share our values, our dreams, our struggles.
And today, they lend their voices to help us spread this campaign.
They remind us that the fight for gender equality extends across stages, screens, books, and life stories.
