This documentary tells the story of Iceland’s iconic women’s strike. On 24 October 1975, more than 90% of Icelandic women stopped working to demand greater equality. They also refused to cook, care for their children, or do household chores. The strike sent shockwaves through the country, bringing Iceland to a standstill. The documentary tells the story through the voices of the women who were there.
