VISIBLE EXPO (Natacha de Locht)

On the occasion of Amazone’s Feminist days, VISIBLE EXPO opens its doors and will be on view for a month in Amazone’s spaces.

VISIBLE EXPO invites us to look beyond appearances and to question the representations that shape how we see ourselves and others.

Through a series of paintings on mirrors inspired by street art, Natacha de Locht portrays emblematic figures from art history, popular culture, and contemporary narratives, as well as anonymous individuals. Frida Kahlo, Yayoi Kusama, Botticelli’s Venus, La Grande Odalisque, Marjane Satrapi, and Gisèle Pelicot thus appear in the reflection of our own faces, inviting everyone to recognize themselves, to project themselves, and to become the subject of their own story. The mirrors carry universal messages such as “We see you, we believe you,” “I love myself,” and affirmations from the body positivity movement.

The exhibition also features Natacha’s clitoris sculptures. Both playful and assertive, they extend this reflection by giving visible space to a body part long rendered invisible in artistic and cultural representations. Here, the clitoris becomes a true icon: a symbol of knowledge, pleasure, freedom, and the reclaiming of our bodies.

Through these works, VISIBLE EXPO honors journeys, identities, and bodies that have long been absent or invisible. It offers a reflection on our image, our identity, and the way we choose to represent ourselves.

VISIBLE EXPO explores what exists beyond what we see: our bodies, our stories, and our identities. An invitation to rethink visibility, to celebrate the diversity of experiences, and to affirm everyone’s right to be fully recognized.
